About Me

I love color!

My family, December 2012.
Our colors were brown and red with a hint of turquoise. Casual and a little 'rustic.'

I tweaked our colors at the last minute because I wanted to wear my new brown boots.
Yup, that's how I roll.

I also had some promo shots done wearing one of my favorite colors to wear--sort of a violet pink.
This is a much more BOLD, glamorous look. Very 'me.'

Us last year, December 2011. Our color scheme was turquoise, orange and brown--just like my house!

Back in December 2010. I wanted our picture to break out of the 'black or white shirts with jeans' so we went BOLD! I had my scarf made to fit my vision.

So ABOUT ME.

I'm a GRITS, Girl Raised In The South. I was born and raised in the Sunshine State of Florida as a girly, beach-loving pastor's daughter then at age 20, I needed some "wide open spaces" and headed west with my folks to Arizona, where I've lived ever since. After a whirlwind romance, I married my love, Drew, in 2002. Right after that, I graduated from college with a degree in elementary education and taught fourth grade for two years until we had our first son in 2005.

Since then I've been a work-at-home mom, balancing serving at church and raising our two sons with trying a myriad of different ways to make "real money." Besides trying several direct sales companies, I spent 18 months helping a friend with her daughter and I ran an Etsy shop for two years, among other things. I'm a busy-bee who likes to try new things!

Now I am finally doing what I love most: writing! My business is called "Let Me Rephrase That" Writing Services and my tag-line is "Serving as your go-to writer so you can get back to business." I specialize in partnering with local small business owners to assist them with ALL of their writing needs, from e-mail newsletters to web site content to marketing materials. Find out more at TabithaDumas.com or visit my "Let Me Rephrase That" Facebook page.

In my free time (as if), I am also an image and beauty consultant with a passion for encouraging women to look and feel their best every day and pursue the life of their dreams. Check that out on FanTABulousWomen.com and on the FanTABulous Women Facebook page.

Currently, my dad and I are both attending the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce and belong to a referral group together. I love helping him and my mom out as The Color Picker for our family home painting business, OnaMission Home Painting.

I also love to decorate my home, entertain and "get my craft on."

Whether paint, fabric, accessories, clothing, paper or makeup, I have always loved choosing, coordinating and experimenting with color. My motto is "Choosing color doesn't have to be scary anymore."

This blog is a place where you can get to know me better, get inspired by what's NEW in the world of color, see what projects I'm working on and learn from my successes (and challenges) along the way. Use the Hire Me! tab to contact me.
